The client operates an indoor tennis facility near Frankfurt, Germany, featuring three carpet courts and one clay court. I was hired to completely redesign and develop their website. Over the course of this two-month project, I managed every aspect of the process, from market research and keyword analysis to UX/UI design and final front-end development using Webflow. Additionally, I oversaw the administration of their web hosting and domain management.

The foundation for creating an effective design lies in comprehensive market research and a thorough analysis of the company’s current or previous website. Key considerations include identifying the company's strengths and unique selling propositions (USPs), defining the target audience, and understanding what potential customers are searching for when seeking an indoor tennis court.

Competitor analysis, current search engine visibility, and overall ranking performance also play a critical role. We assess existing opportunities and explore how the website’s content can be optimized to better align with users' needs and preferences.

Are there common questions from potential customers that remain unanswered? What relevant keywords should be strategically integrated to enhance search engine rankings?

Additionally, it’s crucial to identify any technical issues that may impair user experience or hinder search engine visibility. Finally, understanding the primary devices used by the target audience helps ensure the website is responsive and accessible across all platforms.

Clay courts in a high-quality indoor tennis facility are very rare. The client's unique selling proposition (USP) is offering both carpet and clay courts in one location, available year-round.

To emphasize this USP, I featured the two court types in the first two images at the top of the website, along with the primary H2 heading on the homepage. The second image includes a marketing text overlay, incorporating keywords commonly searched on Google. This addresses a key interest of potential customers: the ability to book individual courts without the need for a subscription or membership.

Recognizing that many visitors come to the website to quickly access contact information and opening hours, I designed a streamlined section just below the hero area. This provides a clear overview of essential details, ensuring users can easily find answers to their most frequent questions.

I created a visually appealing and user-friendly pricing overview for the tennis facility, covering both season subscriptions and single bookings. The strong contrast between the background and typography, along with the highlighted key information, ensures excellent accessibility and an intuitive user experience.

Additionally, customers appreciate that the tennis facility is home to the restaurant Trattoria Bella Vita, which offers high-quality Italian food and drinks. This provides an ideal setting for socializing and relaxation after a tennis match.

To help the users find all answers to common questions that occur when considering booking a tennis court, I added a FAQ page to my client's website.

The FAQ has a great positive impact on the search engine ranking of the website. Users find answers to their general questions about booking a tennis court and if they click on the search engine results they're brought to my client's website. This way not only existing users find quick answers to their questions but the website offers a great visibility for new potential customers.
